Christian Roulleau hands over Samsic Group management to Thierry Geffroy

Wednesday 16 January 2019 was a momentous day for Samsic. The Group’s inspirational Christian Roulleau officially handed over the reins to his son-in-law, Thierry Geffroy, who will become Chairman of the Management Board.
Christian Roulleau is changing horizons, not retiring
From now on, Christian Roulleau, Chairman of the Governance Board of the Roulleau Family Office (full owners of the Samsic Group) will fully devote his time to his Roulleau Family Office. He intends to develop, amongst others, a real-estate division and other business activities in highly diversified sectors such as the hotel, wine-making and startup industries.
"I'm taking a step down and a step up at the same time", jokes M. Roulleau. But, on a more serious note, his decision to hand over management today is because it is the right time to do so.
"I have carried out my mission and I know that Thierry Geffroy will enjoy leading the Group just as much as I have done. There were hard times of course: I sometimes got my brain in knots wondering if I had made the right decisions. I also made some mistakes, but we learn from our mistakes and I always came out the other side all the better for them. My son-in-law is passionate about getting the job done and providing highly-skilled services like me. He's more than up to the job."
A change of management; not a change of course
Thierry Geffroy has been working for Samsic for more than 25 years and knows the Group inside out. After six years developing the cleaning activity in the west of France he was appointed head of Samsic Emploi in 1998. In 2010 he became Chairman of Samsic RH, one of France's leading employment agencies which is continually developing both in France and abroad, in over ten countries.
At 50 years of age, Thierry Geffroy is both young and mature. He is also wise, yet open to change.
"I am not going to revolutionize everything that has already been established because it appears to be skillfully balanced, but I will gradually introduce several developments whilst ensuring that Samsic's core values and basic foundations remain intact."
M. Roulleau is handing over a financially healthy, solid group, which is based on a concrete approach to development, to his son-in-law and together they have set the goal of doubling the Company's turnover between now and 2022.
