SAMSIC Group, through its activities in cleanliness, security and employment (interim) has 54000 employees in France, a turnover in 2008 of one Billion € and is a member of GLOBALM COMPACT since 2005


Christian Roulleau renews his commitment, and SAMSIC Group’s one, for the World Pact and its 10 expressed principles.


As soon as June 2005 SAMSIC has composed a Hygiene- Security- Environment Act to let our employees know and understand better the values we stand up for, values fitting with today’s economic, social and environmental realities and the needs for future:

  • Protect the health ,hygiene and security of its employees, clients and the public
  • Protect environment and natural resources for generations to come
  • Protect sustainable employment by keeping offering jobs at local community level

PRINCIPLE ILLUSTRATED N° 6

Between May 2005 and December 2006, SAMSIC has started and implemented actions which reassert our commitment to the principles of the World Pact and more especially «the elimination of discrimination in recruitment and trade»

A voluntary commitment to equality of chances:

SAMSIC Group stands up for the principle of equal rights in access to trade, training and promotion, without any discrimination based either on sex, or social , ethnic, religious, union origin ( our employees come from more than 80 different ethnic groups).

To ensure integration of new employees, we ensure continuous training during their career path inside our group. Thus we encourage internal promotion and maintain them in their jobs.

These trainings are made and organised by centres created and certified for each trade:

IFES
IFES for Cleanliness
CFS
CFS for Security
SINFONI
SINFONI for interim

A voluntary commitment to professional integration of persons with disabilities:

SAMSIC has recruited during that period with a permanent contract 350 persons with disabilities, going beyond the experiment phase started after the signature of an agreement with AGEFIPH in 2005.

SAMSIC wants to perpetuate that commitment and this support by continuing its efforts in providing jobs to persons with disabilities.
Encouraged by this first success in "Cleanliness", SAMSIC Group signed a new agreement with AGEFIPH in 2007 and committed itself:

  • SAMSIC Cleanliness: to recruit 150 new permanent contracts.
  • SAMSIC Security: to recruit 100 permanent contracts, which will be added to the actual 10 first employees.
  • SAMSIC Employment (interim): to delegate 150 ETP (fulltime job equivalent)

SAMSIC Security becomes in that sector the first company in France to sign such an agreement with a commitment towards results and shows our conviction that job and handicap can go hand in hand.

SAMSIC Employment (interim) by delegating workers with disabilities allows to share with our ethic and to make our clients sensitive to the thematic "job and handicap" in temporary work.

Two «key» factors which lead SAMSIC Employment (interim) to commit to make the return to work of persons with disabilities easier:

  • Lack of experience in the new trade after a necessary retraining
  • Shortage of training in comparison with the expectations of the companies.

SINFONI, training institution of SAMSIC Employment, has decided to give 20% of its training budget over to temporary workers with disabilities.

The core of our approach lies on the balance between the handicapping situations of the persons concerned and their posts in order to protect the health of these already vulnerable persons and to guarantee a quality of service conforming to our commitments towards our partners.

Beyond insertion our ethic position urges us to develop a methodology related to maintaining in activity all our employees when health services would express aptitude reservations.

The great disparity between socio-professional branches may invite firms to recruit workers with disabilities more in one sector than in another.

The economic dimension given at the start by recruiting workers with disabilities is but a complement to the social dominant side of our project. Preservation of the working activity must also contribute to reassure the workers with their job prospects and help them to go more easily to the end of their careers.
